How can I record a lesbian relationship in a family tree? Even unmarried partners are forced to be of opposite sexes. I realise that there is as yet very little legal standing for same-sex relationships in the United Kingdom, but that could change very soon and already has in other countries. There is Civil Registration, personal or religious commitment ceremonies or marriages, and offspring (from previous relationships, artificial insemination, adoption etc). Is there a way of dealing with this in Family Historian?

Currently the easiest way is to use the associated person.

Thank you very much for the information. I obviously hadn't looked back through the forum thoroughly enough! The answer is disappointing, but I appreciate the difficulty does not lie with Family Historian.[frown]
