Census

I am using the 1881 LDS version comprising some 24 CDs. Can anyone tell me if there are similar CDs for other Census years, alternatively, what is the best site to view other Census years
Thank you

Ron,
Try http://www.britishdataarchive.com
They sell various census cd sets for all counties and for many years.

An alternative is to subscribe to ancestry.co.uk. They have indexes to the 1871,81,91 and 1901 census records with images of each page that can be downloaded. I find it excellent, although I have found several mistakes in the indexes it is usually possible to find the people you are looking for by using wildcard searches, etc.

The following link lists which censuses are available on CD or online.
You will find they can be expensive if you need a range of counties!  Some are just images with no index - very time consuming compared wih the LDS 1881.

Mike
Thank you very much, this will be a great help.
As far as I am aware most of my ancestors are either from Herts or Essex (Possibly London)[smile]
