Adding back a lost person

Post by rfj1001 » 07 Dec 2004 20:50

Somehow I've lost a person record and their history (about 20 lines of info - some relating to them as an individual and others shared with spouse and children).

I've got the information on a back-up.

Is there a way I can transfer just the info I need from the backup and restore it to the live file with all the links intact.

Tx

After making a new backup, you could merge the old file with the new one, just make sure the data being kept is the most recent.

Another posibility is to restore the old file to a new location then delete all data other than the 'lost' person merge the data to the current file and relink to the correct families
