I don't think that particular custom query works - it is 'old and faulty' according to the
Knowledge Base page that discusses this.
I think you need to download the
Census Lists query instead.

Thanks Nick
It is a shame that if they do not work that they cannot be deleted from the list and then noted 'deleted as not working' To prevent further downloads.
Its a pity it cannot be edited to work ??
I have run the query you suggested..it works ok for what it is, and will have to do.
What I was after was a query that I could enter an address (or Census year) and find all persons at that address in that year.
I was awaiting sks to write it.
Best regards and thanks again

Yes, that particular
Query is very old (it was written in
2003) and appears to have been designed for
Custom Events such as
EVEN-1901CENSUS that do not exist in a standard FH installation.
NOTE TO USERS: I advise that you obtain downloads from the
Knowledge Base via
FHUG Downloads rather than the
Main Menu > Downloads.
The
Knowledge Base gives far more details about
Queries such as this one, often with screen-shots, problem reports, and other advice.
Only the
very latest Main Menu > Downloads may not have migrated to the
Knowledge Base.
NOTE TO JANE: Perhaps this
Download should be removed (or corrected).

If you run the query then you can click on a particular census year to sort by place so you'll get a list of all the people in that place in that year. The screenshot you included suggests you also put the address in the place field so this should work for you. In my opinion this will be quicker and more flexible than having to type in an address to search for.

Thanks
I have discovered that and it will suffice.
Thanks for all your help
I do think that only working queries should be capable of being downloaded and all others deleted or amended.
Furthermore it seems a littlr silly having 2 places to download from !! Knowledge Base and FHU downloads.
They should either be identical or one or the other scrapped

I think a few years ago some FH users used to create custom census events for each census - this was before my census utilities became popular. So that particularly query would probably work for those people who continue to do things that way.

You are of course correct, but having two Download places is an interim situation.
The
Knowledge Base is a newer feature than the
Main FHUG site.
Everything is gradually being migrated from the
Main FHUG site to the
Knowledge Base that offers better capabilities.
However, the whole FHUG is administered by part-time volunteers, so changes can only take place slowly.
Admittedly, there could be some prominent notices, particularly for the
Main Menu > Downloads section, directing users to the
Knowledge Base > FHUG Downloads.
However, many users are familiar with the
Main Menu > Downloads mechanism to
Add Downloads and would need to learn how to perform the similar function in the
Knowledge Base > FHUG Downloads.
