Family Historian User Group

I am trying to change from Legacy to FH5. The gedcom has imported well but all the census say .... experienced the ..date...census. I want it to say He/She appeared in ..
I have tried work with fact sets > census > properties and filled the template in as such but nothing has changed.
I am also having difficulty following the jargon used.

That sounds as if Legacy has not exported standard CENS fact tag for the Census data, but rather a custom one.

As you have V5 I recommend looking at the Plugin which exchanges fact tags. So you can change all your custom Census events to standard ones.
