Knowledge Base Changes

In reviewing the **Knowledge Base** recently, two items have come to light.

(1) Shortcuts
Many of the External Link Shortcuts need fixing.
See the Fix Me! labels.

(2) FH Plugins
These have attained such prominence I wonder if they merit their own How To Guide entry in the main sidebar between Family Historian and Ancestral Sources.
I would be happy to adjust the necessary pages.

Many of the External Link Shortcuts need fixing.
Thanks Mike, I forgot them when I last upgraded DokuWiki. I have moved them to a 'local' file now so they won't get overwritten by a standard upgrade.

I have left the 'FixMe' flags in place, so if you have a few minutes to spare if you could check them and remove the flags if they are ok, please.

(2)FH Plugins
I think so, it will make them easier to see.

External Link Shortcuts fixed OK except for Links to FHUG Mailing List Archive.
This needs the domain part archiver.rootsweb.com to become archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com.

I will work on the Plugins main section when I have enough time to complete most of the changes in one session.

Sorry, I have mislead you - it is not a domain name problem.
The problem is to do with punctuation characters in the search parameter.
In this case it is the forward slash / between the month and the number, which unacceptably becomes %2F.

I guess this is the same problem as the ampersands & in the FHUG> shortcut after ?action=, which you have fixed.

I think that's fixed now. I tested the wrong link in the example [confused]

Thanks for sorting the Plugin Section.

Yes, Shortcuts all fixed, thank you, and Plugins all changed, although I am sure there will be more advice to add in due course.

Whoops! Spoke too soon.

The shortcut fhcalico>pluginstore/submit-new-plugin does not like the forward slash / as discussed above.

Thanks for that.

I have come across a page name anomaly in the Code Snippets.

The Plain Text Substitution (code snippet) has the Wiki page name plugins:code_snippets:home instead of plugins:code_snippets:plain_text_substitution.
