How does one embed links in a post's text?

I'm always impressed at how some members embed links in their posts. Often these take others quickly to other threads or knowledge base items and stand out clearly as they are normally in a coloured font. The problem is I don't have a clue as to how one does that. Could anyone give advice please? Or perhaps insert a link to where I can find out? [wink]
