Thank you Jane for the video on G+ it was excellent, I learnt a different way of doing things in Family Historian.

This is the link to it on YouTube.

Jane has posted several other FH videos on YouTube that are worth watching.

What a great tutorial !!!
Would it not be a good idea to open a dedicated tutorial folder ?? It could then be linked also on a desktop to be clicked to go straight to the tutorial folder. The one could open 2 windows on your computer ..one for the relevant tutorial and one for your Family Historian file ??
Thanks again Jane...great

There are many such videos as well as lots of other useful information on how to use Family Historian, Ancestral Sources, and FH Plugins in the FH Knowledge Base (via the Main Menu link on the left.

Peter,

I may be 'blind' but I don't see any where on the Knowledge Base link that says YouTube Videos.

If it is there and I can't see it then maybe it should be more prominent.

From what I see it looks like another Wiki, I would much rather watch a video than read, I find watching someone 'do it' a lot more informative and a better tutorial tool.

One of the links on the Family Historian page I mentioned above is to Entering from a Birth Certificate, which includes the video together with other useful information.

As I said, there are many such videos.  The Ancestral Sources page includes links to six 'Tutorial' pages each with links to 'a series of videos'.  I think having the videos in the well-organized context of the wiki makes it much easier to find what is relevant to the task in hand.

Great videos!

I would find it helpful if all the available videos wherever they are located were listed with links in one place on the FHUG web site.

A quick way to find them at the moment is to search in the Knowledge base for youtube.

I have also added my Videos and Calico Pie's new videos to a playlist on my Channel.

Thanks, Jane. I see Calico Pie and Tatewise also have channels so I have subscribed to all of them.

All the Knowledge Base videos are now catalogued in the Glossary of Terms under Animated Tutorials.
