Time Setting on FHUG

Post by davidf »

Am I in a parallel universe?
I'm getting notifications and posts before they have been sent.

Notice the times on the notifications and my own system time (Top Right)

Presumably the server clock is out of sync - not fallen back when coming off BST?

Click on your name, top right, go to your User Control Panel, then Board Preferences, and select My timezone. Mine is UTC +00.00, Europe/London.

As River Song would say.... "Spoilers..."

Yes, there aren't many boards that it happens on, but I always have to alter "My Timezone" to be UTC+0 or UTC+1. At least, I think I have to ... It's so much a matter of habit now that I don't remember for certain.

I leave my time zone setting alone and it seems to adjust Summer Time/Daylight Saving Hours automatically (I think).

You might well be right - that's why I said I thought I altered it - I can't swear that I did. Maybe it depends on all sorts of things... (So long as we don't blame the Systems Administrator, we'll be OK! ;) )

Thanks that solves the problem
Delay in reply due to forgetting to subscribe to this topic! (Not a sub-board that I automatically follow. More settings!)
