You are not actually putting any information on that site, if you visit the store part of the site it is secure.

Yes, every browser says it is not secure, but no security information is involved, except for the Store product purchases pages https://store.family-historian.co.uk/ that is OK, and the Downloads > Plugin Store > My Plugins update pages http://www.family-historian.co.uk/plugi ... my-plugins that authors must login to, which is not secure and that is a small risk.

This is caused by Google trying to force everyone to have secure sites even though if you are not logging in or passing any payment info etc there is no need for sites to be https.

There's plenty of information on the web about this - from this article https://www.engadget.com/2018/02/08/goo ... ure-label/ in February 2018 it seems Google decided to increase pressure on sites to migrate, and started putting out more warnings. I read it may get even noisier about it later this year.

From memory you have to have a certificate and these cost anything from £10 per annum (1st year price rising to £24) for individuals or £24 rising to £55. These are from a low-end provider. To get certificates from a top provider can cost £100s or even more, per year!

Having changed my web hosting company recently, I've found that for a small personal site many of them now offer certificates at no extra charge, presumably because browsers are becoming more fussy. Even though there's nothing on my sites that needs a secure connection, I felt it was worth getting one, as otherwise visitors might be scared off by the security warnings.

And WordPress do the same for sites as well, I found, though only on the site I pay slightly more for!

Today I found that the URL has changed to https://www.family-historian.co.uk/
And Chrome says "SAFE" :-)
