Adding to Knowledge Base

Last week I submitted a form with my TNG website and it properly appeared in the Recently Added to Knowledge Base area. However would like to have it in the TNG listing area as well, in this section:

and also add my favorite Text Editor too

In attempting to add a couple items to the two areas, the existing section with an 'edit ' button doesn't display existing list items in the edit box. While learning wiki, did look at the playground, but in editing, expected to see existing section entries so I could copy and paste an existing entry and edit it to add a new one. I don't want to mess up so very cautious. The entries don't seem to be just external links, but are php code links within FHUG itself?

Or am I to just ask a moderator to do it? Would like to help out by doing myself.

Ron

Should be there now. I have to rebuild the index manually sometimes when web sites are added

Hi Ron (mine and Jane's reply clashed).
Theoretically, once a page has been added to sections such as those that use tags in bottom right corner, then they should automatically appear in the index lists. But something is not working correctly and each index list must be updated by Jane the Administrator running an update task manually. The snag is that Jane is partially indisposed at present and so they may take a while to get updated.

I can see your Member Web Site entry here Recent Changes reached via home|> Knowledge Base Home > Knowledge Base Home Latest Changes at bottom > Recent Changes > View recent changes of whole wiki.

Another way of finding such 'missing' pages is to search for keywords, so for example search for Roots Relatives Remembered and your member site is listed.

But your RJ TextEdit utility is not listed in the recent changes and a search does not find it either?
So it seems it never actually got added to the downloads utility section.

Thanks to both of you for the replies. That's fine, whenever Jane has the time. I just thought perhaps with 'edit' rights, the submitter was expected to expand the list, and I was attempting to do that, but as I noted, the prior entries do not appear in order that I could mimic the code found there. I see the website is now in the list.

As to RJ TextEd, I never did add that, but I just found the 'service and utility' form link to add it. Again, thought I was to expand the section myself perhaps.

OK, have submitted RJ TextEd using the 'Add Service or Utility Form'

Thanks again!

Ron
