Creating a hyperlink

Post by tim.hall13 » 29 Dec 2014 20:19

Hi, I'm new here, as of 5 minutes ago, how can I, (if it can be done) add a hyperlink as a note or otherwise to an individual to a website, rather than copying information from website.

When editing your posting you will see the set of BBCode icons across the top.
e.g.
B = Bold
I = Italic
If you hover your cursor on each one, the popup tooltip explains the syntax.

Click on the BBCode link on the right to obtain full details, but the following is a very brief summary. Also read the Forum Usage Guide (4252).

The 'chain' icon encodes a hyperlink, and has two forms:
(1)
https://www.google.co.uk

Code: Select all

[url]https://www.google.co.uk[/url]
and
(2)
Google Search

Code: Select all

[url=https://www.google.co.uk]Google Search[/url]
The last two, kb and topic, provide special hyperlinks to the [kb]|[/kb] and to postings Creating a hyperlink (12067).
