I seem to have lost the Forum for version 5. As I wish to ask a question about the FH Book, could you please tell me which forum to use? Thank you
Ron

We have merged all the Usage Forums together under General Usage, because we can tell what version of FH users have from their Profile on the left, but yours currently says None.

Ron, I believe you have FH V5, so could you please update your Profile to confirm that.
At the top of the web page click User Control Panel and select Profile on the left, then choose from the list against Family Historian at the bottom, and finally click Submit button.
Thanks.

Thank you Ron for updating your Profile, but No don't post FH questions here.
Please post FH questions in the USING FAMILY HISTORIAN section at the top in the General Usage Forum.

Can I suggest the words Version 5 should appear on the page. All the other version numbers are displayed

What we are gradually doing is eliminating Version related Forums, and moving over to Subject related Forums, so we don't have to keep creating a new Forum every time FH is updated.
The Plugin Discussions and Importing and Exporting Forums are already examples of Subject related Forums.

Many questions are not specifically associated with a Version of FH, and can be answered generically, so we believe putting them in Version related Forums is not the best approach.

When it is important to know which Version of FH is involved the Replier can determine that from the user's Profile.

We have only retained the old Version Forums so users can readily find their old postings, but I suspect those Forums will soon be closed to new postings.

We are considering creating Forums for such Subject related topics as Diagrams & Charts, Reports & Books, Queries, and Installation & Upgrades.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

People sometimes ask how to sort things out after they have made a mistake: for example if someone's spouse has been recorded twice or children have been linked to the wrong spouse. So it might be useful to have a Forum called Correcting Mistakes.

That is an interesting idea, but I would expect a growing set of techniques to appear in the KB for those types of corrections, and users would be directed there, so probably the General Usage Forum could cope with such requests.
