I want to produce a narrative descendant report to send to a contact. I have saved it into MS Word and have edited the content as I want it.
Can anyone help me with a final niggle, please? Word insists on putting each new Generation on a new page, which means some pages are nearly empty! I have tried and tried to get the spaces to close up but I'm defeated.
Why can't I make it look like the report within FH? If I save it as a PDF it does it OK, but of course then I cant edit it!

In Word, if you check the Paragraph - Line and Page Breaks for each Generation heading, you will probably find that there is a tick in the box for Page break before. These headings use a defined Style (Heading 1 + Top ...) and you can alter the formatting of that Style so that the box for Page break before is unticked. That is much easier than unticking the box manually for each such generation heading.
