Gedcom FH 4.1.3 to FTM V6

I have sent a copy of my gedcom file produced in FH 4.1.3 and the receiving end is Family Tree Maker V6. FTM is erroring on the import and stating 'file was not shut properly last time'.

I have not exported my gedcom just copied the file but notice the manual has a section on export; does it have to be exported or could there be a compatibility issue between versions of gedcom in use (noticed that FTM V6 is an old version and struggling to find detail of versions of gedcom in use between products)?

Try validating your file in FH before copying it to FTM, that should find and fix any errors

Try exporting the gedcom (File>Export>gedcom), removing at a minimum media (as FTM does not support it for import).
