Cousins Diagram possible?

Hi, probably a daft question but.......
I've recently made contact with a 3rd Cousin once removed who has asked me if it is possible for me to produce an Ancestor Diagram/Chart which could show the generation links backwards between her & me.
I'm baffled at the prospect but just thought I'd ask if someone out there had any ideas as to how I could produce something like that please.
Ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks
Barbara.

Hi Barabra,
If you upgrade to FH version 5 you will find it has a tool called 'How Related' which does just what you want: it displays the relationship between two people graphically by marking the route between them on a diagram with a coloured line. It can also produce a brief report which sets out the relationship one step at a time, by listing all the people in the chain and the relationship between each person and the next.
However, you can could achieve something similar using V4 by producing a 'Descendants' diagram for of your common ancestor. You could hide any branches that are not relevant if the diagram is very cluttered, by clicking on the expansion buttons for those branches. Unfortunately if you want to colour the route between the two of you on the diagram this would have to be done manually in V4, so you would need to print it out, colour the route and then scan it to produce an image if you need to send it by email.
I hope this helps.

Hi Lorna, thanks very much for the info.
The 'How Related' tool in Fh V5 with a chart & brief report really does sound just what I'm looking for.
At the moment I think that I'll just have to try out your suggestion through V4 and see what I can produce with that but I have been giving serious thought recently to buying V5 eventually.
My only reservation is that because I'm not too clever at some aspects of FH4, I've been thinking that maybe FH V5 would be too advanced for me but maybe not.
Your help is appreciated.
Thanks again.
Barbara.
