Saving v4 Settings for v5

My shiny new box of FH v5 arrived today... a brilliant one day delivery from My History using this site's Amazon link!

I will be installing it over a full version of FH v4, and would like to retain all of my custom settings and preferences, e.g. fonts, colours, report layouts etc etc.

Could some kind soul point me the FHUG instructions to do this, please.

Despite searching I have not been able to doscover what folder to save in v4 to copy to v5. I'm using MS Vista by the way.

Many thanks,

Brian

There is a lot of advice in the Knowledge Base under Family Historian Installation Guide.

But as John says FH V5 will simply install over FH V4 and preserve everything as it is.

However, the above advice does offer tips on what files & folders to Backup just in case anything goes wrong.
Look under Move Family Historian Settings.
