Hi
I am haveing a little problem here with Sources and forgive me if it has been covered before.
For example:
I have a Death and the source for it is the death certificate.
There are other fields which I have used - namely the 'Text from Source' and 'Note'.
I have made a spelling mistake in several of the 'Text from Source' fields and would like to check them using a query.
Now the 'Souces for given record' standard query looks promising and up for customising, but I can't for the life of me find which field in the source record refers to 'Text from Source' and 'Note' boxes in the source! There are several suitable fields but when tried all come up with blanks and I know there is text there.
Can anyone help please?

The Souces for Given Gecord standard query is a Source query and as such can only show fields that are part of the source record. I think you may be better advised to start with a Fact query e.g. All Events. The Columns tab of the query window allows you to add additional fields.
Please note that some fields are linked to the Event for the Individual, while other fields are linked to a Source for the Event. The Text From Source field that is shown in the Source pane of the Individual Property Box is linked to the Individual Event and has the data reference %FACT.SOUR[1].DATA.TEXT[1]%. This is often confused with the Actual Text field which is linked to the Source record (and it is unfortunately labelled 'Text From Source' in the Source Property Box) and which has the data reference %FACT.SOUR[1]>TEXT%.
Also note that the index .SOUR[1]. is used by default in the above two data references. You may need additional fields e.g. %FACT.SOUR[2].DATA.TEXT[1]% in order to show Text From Source for a 2nd source for the same event.
There are several possible data references for Note fields, e.g.:

- %FACT.NOTE2[1]% for a Note linked to the Event;
- %FACT.SOUR[1].NOTE2[1]% for a Note linked to the particular citation of the Source linked to the Event;
- %FACT.SOUR[1]>NOTE2[1]% for a Note linked to the Source Record itself.

If you stick with the Souces for Given Record, or even better Source Records - All, then use the Columns tab Fields pane.
Actual Text refers to Text From Source i.e. %SOUR.TEXT%
Note refers to the Note field i.e. %SOUR.NOTE2[1]%
Do not confuse these with the Citation Text From Source and Note fields that appear near the bottom of the yellow Sources pane in the Property Box.
You could also try Edit > Find Record and search Sources in All text fields for the spelling mistake.
If you upgrade to FH V5 there is a Search and Replace plugin.
