I have been playing with the Tree Splitter which has saved the new Gedcom file in the same folder as the original.
I have not yet moved it into the Project Folder with the associated Media.
I want to delete the new file as it doesn't have everybody I want in it.
Is it OK to just delete the GedCom file via Windows Explorer or do I need to delete it some other way

You can just delete it.
