Narrative reports, abbreviated place names

Post by ChrisBowyer » 20 Mar 2007 07:03

Version 3 rather nicely abbreviates place names when they occur more than once in the same section, so 'Maesbury, Shropshire, England' appears as 'Maesbury' in second and subsequent occurrences. But wouldn't it be nice if by the same logic, the following reference to 'Oswestry, Shropshire, England' were as 'Oswestry, Shropshire', since we already know where Shropshire is, and subsequently just 'Oswestry'.

P.S. I love narrative reports... use them all the time as the way of sharing info with distant relatives who don't necessarily know what to do with a Gedcom.
