Make Source window non-modal

It would be useful to have the 'Select Source...' dialog as a non-modal form when entering data on Individuals via the Properties dialog.  I'd then easily pick a source from a list that's already open on the screen.

Currently it's a lot of clicking to enter info on an Individual in the Properties dialog and, for each line sometimes, click the Add Citation button to access the relevant Source.

I know there's a copy and paste option for Sources, and a 'set automatic citation' option too (both extremely useful), but I'm often swapping between five or six sources at one time.

Interesting idea, I wonder though if it might be a bit confusing as you would need to remember the window was there.

I also have the same problem. What I did was to to build a list of key sources, eg GRO Index, Family History Online, etc and added list membership to the columns and sorted by it, so when I bring up the window the ones I am using can be quickly sorted to the top of the list, that way if I am working with Evershot parish records I just add them to the favourite sources list.

That's a great use of a list, Jane. I'd never thought about using lists for sources.

Thanks!
