Auto Entry based on Census Date

Post by makfai » 19 Mar 2009 09:54

The date of every Census is known.

These records are often useful in calculating ages of birth and marriage and in identifying the exact date of residence, occupation etc.

I find it a little repetitive manually entering the same date for the different attribute/events gleaned from a Census record for the same person.

In the date entry assistant could another tab be added so that we could select the appropriate Census year and the date would be auto created?

Similarly if we input the census year and the person's age (or years of marriage) as stated could it auto-create the approx year of birth or (as there is a 12 month 'window' suggested by the age at the time of the Census which may overlap 2 years [eg 1895/6] dates) calculate a 'between' date?
