The back button in the property box goes back ONLY to the original selection from the records list. A great feature - but obviously goes only through one lineage.
When checking out a variety of items for various families a drop down history list would be a GREAT help in seeing where you've been and let you get back to a specific person.
Yes, having the updated column displayed 'sort of' does this but with all the other columns you have added - more than you need to know at that time when you just want a quick reference.
