Duplicate Name Warning

Post by goodwin2 » 20 Oct 2009 05:44

I just spent a LOT of time merging, unlinking etc etc a WHOLE family that somehow I duplicated

While FTM was/is REALLY PICKY when a new name was entered, it DID pop up a note that said 'is this Sidney Sherwood the son of Ephriam?' if it saw same name and DOB. THAT would have saved the duplication.

SOOOOO - what FH needs DESPERATELY - to save MY sanity - is the same kind of warning system that FTM has.  That feature should be a GIVEN considering that we are entering MANY names, DOBs, etc. - some of which can obviously be duplicates. This is especially important with a LARGE database.

What say you?
