Expand All/Collapse All
If you turn off the double click option for opening the property box on the Records Window (on V4 I have the Property box open and docked on the Records Window anyway), you will find double clicking will expand/close all.

Expand All/Collapse All
Oh great! But ... how do I get it to work?
I have turned off the double-click (in Tools->Record Window Options->Double Click in record list means ...) but what do I then click on to get Expand/Collapse all? (since there is no root branch to expand/collapse). Double clicking a single record just expands/collapses it. Double clicking on the records tab does nothing. I don't know what else to try.

Ahh, it only does a single record, what were you trying to do, I can't think why you would want to open all the records in the window.

Expand All/Collapse All
Yes, I was after Expanding/Collapsing *all* records in the current records window.
As for why I want to do it ...
It is pretty much standard to have Expand/Collapse All when listing items in this type of tree structure but if you need a specific example ...
I do a lot of editing straight into the Records (plural) window or the 'All' tab of the Record (singular) window because it is the only way I can guarantee I am seeing all the data. If I want to check something is correct over multiple records (e.g. if I re-organise my file structure or add a batch of multimedia files) it is much easier to scan the whole collection if all the details are on display. I can then collapse each record as I check it and hence keep track of where I am without the need for lists etc.
Is this sufficient justification?

Expand All/Collapse All
Collapse All would be useful, but can be achieved by (re-)sorting the records by clicking (or Alt-clicking) on the relevant column heading. I would find an overall Expand All excessive, but the ability to highlight a few records and expand all of them (e.g. by pressing Enter) would be very useful.
