Duplicate Name Warning

At the risk of being repetitive [cause it happened AGAIN], here's my fair sized beef:

This also is a wish list item - not on there at the moment - at least a search did not find it.
I just spent a LOT of time merging, unlinking etc etc a WHOLE family that somehow I duplicated. And, not being all that practiced in the merging area, there are probably details that got lost in the process.
Found a George Henry Trowbridge [there are three in different generations]; had a George Henry Trowbridge - the SAME George Henry already in my database.
Yes, they are duplicates. Time spent as mentioned above sorting all this out.
OK, COULD HAVE checked each new? person found BEFORE entering the data to see if I had that person already in my file.
As is often the case, I may switch families that I am searching when I run across some new information relating to another line. Then when I go back into the database, I often start with folks in the Updated column - which displays a broad mix of names. Yeah, guess I should do an alpha sort and check things out BUT ----
While FTM was/is REALLY PICKY when a new name was entered, it DID pop up a note that said 'is this George Henry the son of Joseph?' if it saw same name and DOB. THAT would have saved the duplication.
SOOOOO - what FH needs DESPERATELY - to save MY sanity - is the same kind of warning system that FTM has. That feature should be a GIVEN considering that we are entering MANY names, DOBs, etc. - some of which can obviously be duplicates. And yes, I have a LARGE database of 25,000+.
Will AGAIN accept a bit of sympathy with gratitude.
