Several of my forebears had registered in births marriages and deaths their correct forenames 2 or even 3. The problem exists that they were known by a nickname (aka) and many family members and friends only knew them by that.
My father was known for a lot of his life as 'ginge'
My great grandfather was known as 'Willy' although neither of his 2 forenames was Walter . Again myself included, are called and known by family, friends and workmates as our second name not the first
This all leads to a request for a field for 'AKA'. This is as good as Mr Mrs etc..
Some other genealogical packages provide this.

If you look in the Family Historian help and search for nickname or look in the index under nicknames you'll see that what are you are requesting is already there.
