On exiting, FH to remember last person in focus.
When exiting FH, it would be nice for FH to remember which individual was in focus at the time.
When re-starting, user could then be given the choice of Starting with the Root person ( as now ) or return to the last used person from previous session.
Users often spend time investigating a particular branch of their tree and it would be more convenient if they could resume where they left off, without the hassle of noting where they were each time, when they finished for the day.

Mike!
That is already covered in remember status (12685) and in Wish List Ref 255 Remember current record when ged updated externally which has been merged with Wish List Ref 504 for when FH has been closed and is being re-opened from scratch.
I suggest you Vote for it.

Sorry Mike,
I did do a search for 'Remember' and nothing similar came up. Can I therefore assume 'Search' is not global?
Perhaps I ought to make another entry to wishlist to make it apply globally
Edit: I just looked at 255, and I think the title is very misleading! At a quick glance, I would never have guessed it applied to my scenario. You have to dig pretty deep before you realise that it was modified to include the 'restart' situation, no wonder it hasn't got many votes.

Re: On exiting, FH to remember last person in focus.
I am not sure what happened then.
First I also did a Forum search for 'Remember' and it did NOT find the remember status posting.
BUT now it does!?
Anyway, you should have searched the Wish List as per Please Read Before Posting Wishes (6176) and you would have found the item there.
[EDIT: Another reason it may not have many votes is there are some workarounds. Firstly, the standard Queries Last Updated... will list most recently updated records, which are probably the ones you were working on. Secondly, you could maintain a Named List of currently active records. However, I agree the title could be better.]

Not sure why you say it has so few votes.
It comes between 10th & 12th out of 148 depending on whether ranked by SCORE, VOTES, or AVG RATING.
[EDIT: I have changed the Wish List entry Title to Remember current record when FH re-opened or ged updated externally.]

Sorry Mike, I was confusing score of 500+ with vote of 47, my mistake.
