I use find record a lot to quickly find a person. It always starts with all options (selections of what data to search) selected. That means I have to deselect them one by one before doing the "quick" search. For the first time, no big deal, but it doesn't remember my preference and after the tenth time it's becoming a bit of a nuisance.

Suggestion: remember the first setting or have a preference setting.

I agree those settings should be 'sticky'.

While on this topic, in FH V6.0.4 there is no Help page for the Find Dialog nor the Find and Replace Dialog.
Even worse, the Help > Index for Find Record Dialog says This program cannot display the web page!

BTW: The Search and Replace Plugin has a Search ONLY mode, has many more filter options, its settings are 'sticky', and they can be preserved in user defined Presets.

I saw some of the other request as well. I think the overall wish is (somewhat in line with the remember status request) to have a general remembrance of the past facility in FH. And, FH being software specialised in "the past", this must be child's play.
