* Individual Narative Report - Picture Locations

At present the only options for location of Pictures under Report Options - Pictures - Picture Location mean the pictures, whatever type selected, can only appear above the text, either in rows or individual columns, or to the right of the text. The issue with this is where you have a number of Root/Relative Pictures and Other Pictures, but the individual only has a few children, you either have a lot of Pictures showing above the text or they extend down additional pages where there is no text. This occurs even when I have included facts other than simply Birth/Baptism, Marriage and Death/Burial/Will/ Probate for the children. It also occurs even if I choose "little" as the size of the Other pictures, as a way of simply showing that you have copies of them. If the Root individual has a number of children, the issue isn't quite so problematic as they can be located down the side of the text without large amounts of space at the bottom prior to the Sources.

I appreciate that you can use pictures associated with Sources which has more flexiblity, but I prefer to attach pictures to Facts which therefore come under the "Other" Picture type.

It would be useful if:

1. The option to have a Picture location of "In Rows below text, Left Aligned"

2. The option that a nominated first Root picture (either the Pref 1 picture) could be separated from additional Root Pictures so that the additional pictures could appear below the text too.

3. It would also be useful if you could have the option of adding a child's photograph to the report in a similar way to the spouse's photograph.

I agree some better Picture Location options would be useful.

What would be really neat is to locate the pictures and associated text together.
So Other pictures appear Above/Below/To Right of the Fact/Place they are linked to.
So Spouse pictures appear Above/Below/To Right of the Spouse heading/name.
So Child pictures appear Above/Below/To Right of the each Child name.

Regarding Nick's point 3. there already is a Pictures tab Option for Children between the ones for Spouse and Other for some reports such as Individual SummarytReport. For Narrative Reports use Descendants by Generation with Generatons set to 2 and you get each Child's details and Pictures grouped as suggested above.

Yes the option for children's pictures on the Descendant's Report is useful, I use it regularly. So it would be nice on the Summary Report too.

I agree Mike with your suggestions for actually being able to more fine tune the location of pictures in the reports, that would be even better.
