I am currently setting up a web site and wish to use multimedia objects with the Name of the file and Caption details only.
In the reports options file flaging or not flaging display I get the lot ie I only want File name & Caption
The report seems to have not want to respond to restricting fields displayed.
Is there another report I can use for multiple multi media images. I am currently editing the TOC file to remove entries
Format: jpeg
File: C:Documents etc location
Date: 1843
Link:
I read a forum article about caption size am I able to easliy edit other details and save the fhr as a custom report
Record Detail - Multimedia.fhr
If so how?
This is my first posting on the forum so if I have not followed proceedure please let know.
Many thanks,

I haven't tried using that one on web generator. Does it resolve correctly when printing? As far as I knew that report always shows all the fields.

Bit confused by your answer Jane. I imagine that the report is meant to work and exclude data fields if they are not ticked. The Ticking the 'Record Id' works as does the 'connecting lines' but the options do not respond to change.
I am hoping that there is a 'fix' for the problem if it is not working or if there is another report that I can use for puting assorted pictures on the web with showing the captions would be great.
I am probably able to edit the fhr if given the insturctions
I am not sure which line of text would need to be deleted or rem .
Regards,
Peter

I don't think connecting lines are rendered in HTML output.
I can't see options to hide fields only to customise the text under the Picture.

Peter - can I just confirm what Jane has said. The Record Detail reports basically display all details for selected records. I don't know what options you are thinking about, but no it is not the case that any of these reports are meant to include or exclude data items that you have ticked. Each of these reports have options (and as far as I know they are all working correctly) but none of them are about including or excluding data. The Record id is a special case - this is a value automatically allocated by F.H. and is not an item of data provided by the user. 'Life Dates' is a calculated value, and (like RecordId) just affects how records are referred to.
I can't think of another report that would give you what you want I'm afraid.

Dear Simon & Jane
Thank you for replying so quickly,
until I find a better way, I will edit out the unwanted text in the toc files.
It works, and will be OK until I update pictures & web page then I will need to do it again.
Would be great to have such a report in the future if you can keep it in mind.
Much appreciated, loving version 3 and having lots of fun
