Firstly may I say that I am new to FH Software. I have been trying to introduce Census information using Gedcom Census 5.3, and introducing it manually, and have noticed that all the census information I have entered introduces the census information to ALL individuals on the family tree. If I try to delete from any individual then ALL source for ALL individuals are deleted. I am obviously doing somthing wrong but have been trying over the last few days to understand what is going on but wit no success. If anyone out there has any usefull suggestions, please post them

Can you detail exactly what you are doing as I can think of no way to doing what you describe above.
Might be worth validating the file, just in case of a problem with your file.
When you add a census event manually, I presume you are using the add event option on the properties dialogue, then adding a new source record to it?
On GEDCOM census what source option are you using? I presume you have reviewed Nick's excellent documentation as to the different source options.

Using GEDcom Census I select the person and fill in all the appropriate fields from the census information I have.
I have just validated the File no errors found.
Manually I select the person, select source tab, right click on + sign, select add source.
I have tried it your way and all I can input is date/place, without picture of source, so I prefer GC 5.3.
I am using source option 1 from Gedcom census. I have noticed that the census records I have inputted are shown in the source tab for totally unconnected persons, ie not even the same family, the whole tree. I'm sure its my error but I still cannot see where I am going wrong. Perhaps I am expecting somthing that is not available, I expected that sources would be linked to the individual person, not to all the persons on the tree.

The source tab on the record window shows all source records for the file. The Properties Dialog source pane shows sources for the selected person.

Thanks for your help with this, I understand better now. I was just looking in the wrong place, I am still getting familiar with the software and am on a steep learning curve, thanks again.
