When using either the All Relatives chart or the Pedigree - All Gens chart I would like to have all of the census flags showing.
If I take the time to add them into the chart I am fine for that session.
however, when I then reopen FH and use the Pedigree chart those settings have gone and I have to add then in again.
I know you store them in the registry so why do they dissappear each time the pedigree chart is shown, but are fine when the all relatives chart is picked?
Thanks

I think the census flags like some other options are stored by chart type.
I would recommend saving a custom diagram type for each digram with the boxes defined as you want them

That's because there is a difference between standard diagrams. They are not all created equal!
The standard diagrams accessed via the toolbar buttons or in the first section of the View->Standard Diagrams menu are different from the rest. The former seem have their own settings in the registry (the all relatives diagram seems to use the Enabled 6 key in the feature set) whilst the rest have their settings stored in a associated file in C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataCalico PieFamily HistorianDiagramsStandard. Why there is a difference is not something that I as normal user is able to understand.

Jane
you mention 'saving a custom diagram' but I have not found a way to do that either!
The flags are stored in the registry not the chart itself - as Jon has said so unless someone from Calicoe gives me a solution I might hav to write something to copy the registry settings each time or somthing

To save a custom diagram type.
With the diagram configured as you want it select
File/Save Diagram As/Custom Diagram Type
and give the diagram a custom name.
Do this for each of the three main types and when you want that config back just use the view/custom diagram
rather than pressing the button.
