Some diagrams not opening

I have v 3.1 and am having trouble with PART of my diagrams, they do not open , then I have to close down.

What exact error do you get which forces you to close down?
Do you have more than 1 gedcom file? if so is it possible the diagrams which will not open are for another file?
Are you talking about custom diagrams or standard ones?
Have you tried running a file validation over your file?
