Lost registration key

Post by Hazel17 » 14 Feb 2009 16:21

Hi

I think I may have accidentally put the card with my registration key for Family historian version 3.1 in the recycling bin. [eek]

Does anyone know who to contact for help? I'm not sure if I should go to the manufacturer of the software or the company I bought it from?
Or will I just have to buy it again? My tree is backed up on a memory stick so it isn't lost.
Thanks

Double check your CD wallet to check the key is not in there.

If not you could try the company you bought it from, but it will be up to them if they provide one.

Personally I always save any registration keys I have to a register.xls spreadsheet so if I lose the paper I still have the key numbers.

I know that's no help to you, but it might remind other members to get ensure the key is safe.

Thank you Jane, the key isn't in there though.

Hopefully the company I got it from will be able to help.

There are also programs that will store your registration information.

I like the shareware program SoftCAT:

Panic over, I have found the key at the top of a bpx I looked in at least twice yesterday. I've now written it down in lots of places.
