This plugin combines Jane's Map Life Events and Map Geo Code Maintenance with added features as below.
Acknowledgement goes to Jane for establishing the methods of using Google Maps Geocode Services.
Added features include:
1) Mapping either Place or Address fields.
2) Filtering on Private &/or Living flags.
3) Mapping data stored in a Data File or in Source/Repository Records that can be cited by associated Facts.
4) Adjustable default map Zoom level.
5) Sticky option settings, including multi-PC users.
6) Support for standalone GEDCOM  projects.
7) If the output folder is FH Family Tree CD/Website then integrate the Webpage Maps with the featured Web Pages.
8) Various other bug fixes and enhancements.

Please look at the Help & Advice within the Plugin.

If you choose to use the Source/Repository Records option it would be wise to experiment on a copy of your GEDCOM until satisfied all is OK.

WARNING: Occasionally, the Plugin may cause FH to freeze, especially if run in Debug mode. If this happens use Windows Task Manager to End Task.

Future developments possibly with next FH Beta version:
a) Eliminate the FH freeze problem by using proposed fhSleep() API function.
b) Embed the Google Maps Geocoder window within the main LUA IUP GUI window.

So far I've only used all the default settings and it seems to work very well.  It certainly coped with my 668 Places OK, within the 13 minutes estimated.  'Does what it says on the tin!'

V1.1 is now available from the Plugin Store.

New Features:-

a) I believe the 'FH freeze problem' has been eliminated by using the new FH V5.0.0.3 fhSleep() function.
Have tested the plugin on both Windows 7 64-bit desktop and a very slow Windows XP 32-bit laptop, in both normal run mode and in debug mode, and no 'FH freeze' has occurred yet.

b) Have not yet been able to embed the Google Maps Geocoder window within the main LUA IUP GUI window, but see c) below.

c) Have updated Help & Advice to embed web pages from the FHUG Knowledge Base, which offers scope for updated help without needing a new plugin download.

d) Added an option to customise the user interface font, with the initial font being the current user default.

e) Incorporated other new API functions in FH V5.0.0.3, restyled user interface using 'frames', and corrected a few minor bugs.
