Yes,  I'm going to keep the old computer around.  I can definitely test this after the new release comes out.  If it doesn't fix the problem, I may try playing around with the plugin code a bit to see if I can see anything.

Bill, could you check out the new Version 2.0 release to see if it has cured the Comodo Firewall problems, etc.

I installed the new version on my old Vista machine and it started up fine, displayed the entire contents of the window, but then got the following error:

I closed the error window and everything looked fine.  The location list was populated, so I tried to plot a couple of locations and that seemed to work fine.

That looks like you have not updated your old PC from VH Beta 5.0.0.3 to 5.0.0.4, which restored the removed fhGetItemText function.

Glad that the Comodo Firewall problem has gone, and Plugin starts OK.

You are absolutely correct.  I just updated to 5.0.0.4 and the plugin works without error.
