Anyone creating a gendex file from FH? Have you written a report or utility to do that? Willing to share?
Corollary question -
Anyone loading a TNG site from your FH database?
Thanks

I use TNG, and Mike has done a plugin for TNG conversion. There is also a plug in of mine to optimise Pictures for it.
The Gendex file would be easy enough with a query or a plugin if you have V5.
I have not done one, and probably won't have time over the next couple of days (there is something happening on Tuesday this week which is demanding my attention )[smile], but if no one else jumps in I'll look at in a week or so

Thanks, Jane I may try to write a query myself.
Of course, TNG has a gendex utility, but it wants to index all trees, and I only want it to index one.

Could you please confirm whether you are using V5 or not.
I have had a quick look at using a Query, but it is not easy to create the required Gendex formats, and so a Plugin might offer an easier solution.
I can get close with the following Query Columns:

However, none of the available Date column formats are in the required GEDCOM DATE record format.
Also after exporting the Result Set, each column will need the | separators inserted in place of commas and at the end of each line.
A Plugin would be able to resolve those issues.
Can you also say whether you require Baptism/Christening details when there is no Birth, and Burial details when there is no Death.
[EDIT]
I have created a prototype Export Gendex File Plugin for you to trial. [Prototype Removed]
Unresolved questions include:
(1) What Reference field contents is required?
I have temporarily used the FH webpage filename ind{Record Id}.html, but may need a customisation parameter in the Plugin.
(2) Must the Surname field be in UPPERCASE?
I have seen some examples where it is not e.g. Gramps GENDEX
(3) Must the Full Name field have the /Surname/ part in UPPERCASE?
(4) Should Living &/or Private Flags be used to inhibit certain output data?
