Possible glitch in Export GEDCOM plugin

Post by JohnLiddle » 01 Apr 2023 12:55

I am playing with importing my TMG data into FH, exporting it using the above plugin and then using GEDSite to produce a website from it.

I have just noticed that the plugin seems to be exporting all "Burial" tags as "Cremation" - can anyone confirm that, or is it just me (it often is).

I hope this is not an April Fools joke :D

John, a few more clues would help!
Have you definite evidence that a Property Box with a Burial event is exported as a Cremation event?

The Export Gedcom File plugin rule of thumb for the GEDCOM Destination: (GST) Gedsite is to keep every tag the same as FH because that is what Gedsite expects as I have agreed with John Cardinal.

Hopefully, you have not done something usual like redefine the Cremation event to use the Burial label!

I'm sure Mike T will respond, but I can confirm that my Burial facts go over to GedSite as Burial facts. I am using the latest version of FH and the plugin, with GST as the "Gedcom Destination" in the latter. At what point did you see the Cremation in GedSite - have you used the Utilities / Record Browser in GS to confirm what GS is importing?.

[Edit - apologies, just seen Mike's response]
