Recently Updated Plugins

Post by ColinMc » 04 Jan 2023 18:43

Check installed plugins works well for those plugins that are installed, but I rely on the "Recently Updated Plugins" on the web page https://pluginstore.family-historian.co ... ed-plugins to update me on new plugins (or updates) I may not have spotted in the forum.

The new "Rich Text font detection" plugin is not listed as "recently updated" plugin as of now. This may jut be an issue that it has not updated yet, but I thought it was worth mentioning it.

The most recent additions shown are "Change any fact tag" and "Export Gedcom file" both on 24 Nov. I have not checked to see if there are other additions that should be listed yet.

It may be the author did not update the source date on the store.

It's there now. The approval e-mail was timed at 10:08 this morning, so perhaps the Recently Updated list is driven by a macro that only runs once a day? Or did Jane do something manually to make it appear? It was submitted to the store yesterday with yesterday's date, but not approved until today. Could that be a factor?

Mark,

Colin mentions the Rich Text Font Detection plugin in his post.

I see the Rich Text Tabulation plugin in the store but not the Rich Text Font Detection plugin. Is the Rich Text Font Detection plugin also supposed to be in the store? I thought it had been superseded by the Rich Text Tabulation plugin.

Yes, there's only one plugin. I changed the name as the scope changed between the first and second prototypes.

Colin,

So I guess if you have the Rich Text Font Detection plugin installed you might want to delete it and replace it with the Rich Text Tabulation plugin.

Thanks to both for checking. I suspected it might be a timing issue, but thought it worth mentioning in case it wasn't. Sorry to waste peoples time

Not a waste at all. I’m still interested in how the Recently Updated list is produced. Is it manual, or driven by a daily macro?

Sorry, you’re going to have to translate - the only slang references I found were “passed out drunk”, and another of a rather more sexual nature... :D

It's a WordPress plugin. We use it on the KB and the fingerprints are there if you inspect the source.
