Check for Broken Media Links Plugin question

Post by ColinMc » 24 Oct 2022 21:28

Having an interesting issue with this plug in.

If I view Tools> External File Links> Show Broken Links, I get "No broken links found".

If I run the plugin it reports 1 Broken link,

but when I look at that item, it seems to be happily showing the correct image. Could the accent be an issue?

PS All my images are stored in a custom location in case that makes a difference

That is indeed interesting!
The plugin copes with custom locations and accented characters, so there must be something particular confusing it.
I'll have to create a diagnostic version that produces a trace of what is going on.

I reviewed the Plugin overnight and discovered it was updated in the very early days of FH V7.
Since then better solutions for checking file existence have been devised using File System Objects or fhFileUtils library.

The attached Check for Broken Media Links Plugin Version 1.1.1 Date 25 Oct 2022 now uses File System Objects to check whether each Media File Link refers to an existing file or not. Hopefully, it works correctly with your Media.

Reason: Attachment deleted as Version 1.2 is in the Plugin Store.
