Export to roots
When using the addon to export using rootsmagic switch the media files get renamed with a number in front such as 001. Why do the media files get renamed? Just curious, thanks.

It is explained in the Help & Advice 'Frequently Asked Questions' under 'How are the exported Multimedia file names derived?'

When media images are exported the plugin must deal with Face/Detail frames that are part of a full image.
Most products do not support that feature (not in the GEDCOM file anyway) so the plugin must crop each image.
Therefore, several cropped images may be derived from one full image, but they cannot all have the same filename.
There are now three options for differentiating those files as explained in the FAQ.
