Copy source titles to filenames
Does a plugin exist that, for a selection of sources, copies the source title to the linked filename (if any) and also to the media name of that file.
Or is there another easy way to get this done?

Re: Copy source titles to filenames
Have a look at the DEA Rename Source Media. It only does one source at a time so you will have to tinker with it to select multiple sources.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
Re: Copy source titles to filenames
Based on the Rename Source Media plugin, I have written a plugin to rename the Media name and filename of a user selectable number of sources. I named it Rename Selected Source Media and in my projects it does what it's supposed to do.
The plugin is attached for anyone to try. Suggestions for improvements, bug fixes etc. are welcome.
N.B. The plugin can change filenames and does it without asking for confirmation. So, for safe testing, store a copy of the your test files somewhere else. Also, be aware that if another project links to a changed external filename, that link needs to be updated.

Re: Copy source titles to filenames
Joop, it seems to run OK but it would be nice if the result set included a pointer to the source instead of the source title?

Re: Copy source titles to filenames
P.S. I do hope you're going to add it to the plugin store!

You might also want to warn users that 'Undo plugin updates' won't rename the media files -- it should be obvious, but perhaps worth underlining.
