* Help wanted exporting to FTM 2019

I need help checking some features of FTM 2019 when using my Export Gedcom File plugin Version 4.1.
I do not wish to purchase FTM 2019 so cannot test the features myself.
Currently, the plugin exports a Sort Date (2 _SDATE) for every fact in (FTM) Family Tree Maker 2019 mode.

There is some evidence that FTM 2019 supports Sort Dates (2 _SDATE) in GEDCOM Assessment ~ Family Tree Maker 2019 under the Date Sort test using the script shown at 01-Anecdote before Biography.

However, some FH users have reported that FTM 2019 does NOT support Sort Dates (2 _SDATE).

Can anyone familiar with FTM 2019 provide a definitive answer.

Testing of any other FTM 2019 features would be welcome.

While doing that please experiment with the FH File > Import/Export > Export > GEDCOM File... command with Destination: Family Tree Maker and feedback how FTM copes.

All the above experiments can be performed using either FH V6.2.7 or FH V7.0 but do say which you used.

Hi Mike,

I have tried everything I know, and as far as I am concerned, I dont think FTM2019 supports Sort dates, I know it says it does on the link you posted, but I have looked through all the documentation, tried importing from your plugin using all different settings. FTM ignores the sort dates. In the program itself, I can find no mention or method of using a sort date. If anyone else knows different, I would be pleased to learn how

Can you try and repeat the tiny GEDCOM Assessment script as shown below.
Normally Biography 1901 should appear before Anecdote 1902 unless _SDATE 1900 takes effect, which is what happens when opened in FH V7.0 due to the Sort Date overriding the fact Dates.
BTW: Also, please try the FH export command and feedback your experience.

I will have a play with the built in export later, one thing I noticed when I tried it in the Beta was that Preferred Image was not included but I will have a try now we are in the release version.

Mike, I downloaded the Assess.Ged from the link above, importing into FTM 2019, I agree with the findings apart from:-

1. Date Sort, on my import, Anecdote with the sort date 1900 was ignored and not sorted above Biography (as per my previous post)
2. Divorce was imported (shows as pending on link)

All the other items seem to agree with the results on the link you posted.

The GEDCOM Assessment of FTM, Date: 2020-02-05, was performed with assess.ged v1.02 whereas you have used v1.05 and there are 50+ Pending tests, so a little surprised you say you agree with the findings apart from just Date Sort and Divorce
