Search & Replace Plugin (ver 3.1)
I am having a problem with running the Search & Replace plugin in one of my projects. (It works fine in a different project). I am running FH 7.
I select the plugin, enter search replace details and then select Search & Replace (or search). It seems to start running but then the project promptly closes. (Sorry no screen capture for that as it closes too quickly.) I have tried running with search only, different parameters but it continues to close the project. There appear to be no error messages.
Any advice much appreciated.

Re: Search & Replace plugin - Projects closes.
Sorry about that Richard.
There have been problems associated with rich text Notes or Text From Source that hold disrupted Web Links.
Do you have any such types of rich text active Web Links in this Project but not in the others?
I also suggest you try the Version 3.1.1 update in Search and Replace plugin update (18460).
There is also the possibility of recursive replacement.
i.e. Having replaced Royal Victoria with Royal Victoria Hospital it may then replace the Royal Victoria in Royal Victoria Hospital producing Royal Victoria Hospital Hospital.
So does Royal Victoria always appear at the end of a field or is it always followed by a comma?
In the latter case use Royal Victoria, with Royal Victoria Hospital, as the Search and Replace strings.

Re: Search & Replace plugin - Projects closes.
Thank Mike. I have updated to 3.1.1.
Unfortunately, the problem still happens. It does not matter what I put on the search or replace box.
As suggested, I tried the search & replace with a comma, but the project still closed.
I have tried things like search for road and replace with Road. I have tried search for Ballynahinch with nothing to replace, I have tried search for Farley (which does work in a different project) but all immediately closes FH7.
I do not remember adding any rich text active Web Links but there could be some lurking in the project.
I had forgotten about the Edit, Find & Edit Find & Replace functions (which do work) as I have always used your Plugins, which I find better.

Re: Search & Replace plugin - Projects closes.
I suspect there is some data structure in the problem Project that when searched by the Plugin upsets FH and it crashes.
Your screenshot shows that almost all data is being searched even though only a few will contain Royal Victoria.
So can you please perform some software forensics for me to find the cause?
Try reducing the Search Scope to one type of record at a time instead of All Records & Events/Attributes.
Does the crash problem only happen for one type of record?
If so, then only tick one Basic Filters option at a time with that record type chosen.
Does the crash only happen for one type of filter?
The Extra Filters tab might be able to constrain the search even further and identify where the data problem exists.
Then I can fix the Plugin if the problem lies there or we can report the problem to Calico Pie.
