Clone Any Record

Post by dhwalt » 17 Jul 2020 08:47

I am using the clone plugin for Source Records. It does its job but... because I tend to do this in batches the warning gong sound that accompanies the new source record citation dialogue is very annoying.

Is it possible to edit fhMessageBox('your parameters') to drop the warning triangle/sound whilst keeping the simple OK button?

Thanks Dave

Unfortunately Dave, there is no such option.
The best I can suggest is you temporarily Mute your Speakers via the Windows Notification area.

Dave - the message box plugs directly into the Windows interface, so unfortunately its behaviour is determined by your Windows configuration. One option is to delve into the Sounds settings within Windows to kill off the annoying beeps altogether (which won't affect media playback etc.) (Windows - Settings - System - Sound - Sound Control Panel), but any changes you make will be global and not limited to FH.

I use this plug-in all the time, and would love to see it incorporated directly into FH7, so a single right click on a record in the Records Window includes <Clone> as a menu option....
