Ancestral Sources/Improve Website plugins

Post by WillBenson » 12 Jan 2016 11:06

I am loving V6 (having just upgraded from V3), and am now onto the Plugin functionality.

This is specifically for tatewise - when the "Improve Website ..." plugin starts, it appears over the FH Window (which is good) but when the "Ancestral Sources .." plugin starts it pushes FH Window to the background and appears over, for example, my Browser Window (which is inconsistent).

Only a cosmetic thing.

Thank you for that observation Will. I had not noticed.

After a little investigation, the difference is with Plugins that invoke the Command Prompt almost invisibly in the background.

Ancestral Sources Data Entry and Backup and Restore Family Historian Settings both do, to interrogate the Windows Registry, and both affect window focus as you describe.

I had a quick look at a remedy, but to no avail so far.

Thanks Mike.

It was an observation.

I love these two plugins, particularly as I have been maintaining a website for 10 years for family members around the world. So any assistance in making it easier and looking slicker is greatly appreciated :)

I can't get enough of this V6 :geek:
