I have been using the various version of this plugin since it became available.
I was originally using method 2 recording, but have now switched to method 1.
When an individual in the file is highlighted and the plugin is run, everything works as expected.
However if a source record is highlighted and "Add images to existing sources" is selected in the plugin, AS opens in the correct mode, but no source has been pre selected. Is this correct behaviour?
I appreciate that this part of AS may be the least used, but as I frequently forget to add a second image to a source, I am using this feature a lot more.

Re: AS data Entry Plugin - Inconsistency
That is the extent of the current behaviour, John.
The AS Plugin invokes the AS Program using command line parameters, and only an Individual selection option is available at present, as far as I know.
It also chooses the Project File, the Edit Mode, and Close on 'Save Entry To File' mode.
There would need to be a change to the AS Program before the AS Plugin could offer anything extra, such as choosing a Source Record.

OK Mike,
That's what I thought, but just thought I would point it out.

Re: AS data Entry Plugin - Inconsistency
Since you are now using Method 1, AS Add images to existing sources has limited beneficial functionality.
If as you say, you have already found and selected the Source Record, then it is probably easier to add the image directly to the Multimedia tab rather than use AS.
The only real benefit I can think of is the Image Title template/options, but that can easily be edited in FH.

Re: AS data Entry Plugin - Inconsistency
I'd argue the benefits of using AS to link images are:
- At a glance it will show you which sources don't have images (yes this can be done with queries in FH but AS does this for you)
- Assuming you've used AS for a while it will open the appropriate image folder to link the image (e.g. if it is an 1851 census image it will open the 1851 image folder)
- It will rename the image file for you if you wish
- It will give the image an appropriate name (e.g. same as the source title)
- It will fill in the date field if possible and if required (e.g. with the date of the census entry)
