Jane, I have modified your
List All Citations for a Source a little.
It now:
- Automatically works on any currently selected Source Record(s).
- If none selected, prompts user for a selection of any Source Record(s).
- Upon reaching 1000 Citations it warns user and asks whether to continue (even with 12,000+ Citations it only took about 1 min to run and 30 sec to display Result Set).
- Searches all Record Types that can have Citations i.e. "INDI","FAM","NOTE","SOUR","REPO","OBJE".
- Adds a Rec Id column, and has full Data Ref column (instead of Description) that identifies both Record & Item tag.
- Includes an Item fhGetDisplayText 'text' column with a buddy 'item' column that is more consistent, to workaround the various display formats used by pointer 'item' for Records, Events & Attributes.
- Uses latest general.BuildDataRef() and progbar library modules.
Rather than confuse things with two almost identical Plugins I thought you might like to simply update your Plugin with this new variant.

I like the extra columns etc. I recently watched an interview with Simon Orde at Rootstech 2013 on YouTube where he said he greatly appreciated user plugins. I wonder if they will be incorporated in the next update/version. He also mentioned v6 but with no hint of date or what would be included.

Jim, I don't understand your question, because Plugins have been available for years in FH V5.
See plugins:index|> Family Historian V5 Plugins.

Sorry should have been more explicit, I'll rephrase:
"I wonder if the user written plugins will be incorporated into the core of the next update/version. He also mentioned v6 but with no hint of date or what would be included".

It seems unlikely that user Plugins will be incorporated into the FH core.
There was a discussion on that topic in
What is the Purpose of Plugins? (6095).
Like most software suppliers,
Calico Pie will not release details of the next version until very near the time, for fear of losing commercial market advantage.
