Ancestral Sources Data Entry - peculiar behaviour

Post by johnmorrisoniom » 09 Jun 2014 14:54

First the background, then the problem.
Both of my desktop computers have a 2 monitor setup. I have been using this setup for quite a while with the LH monitor set as primary. Everything works OK.
I have recently decided, for various reasons, to switch to having the RH monitor as primary. Now, when the plugin runs, it is not possible to let the plugin window have the focus. The window can be seen to be there by using aero peek, but it cannot be selected even by using Alt-Tab to switch windows. Revert the monitors back to LH as primary, and all works correctly.
Both computers running W7 pro 64bit.

Presumably FH is on the RH monitor too, and works OK?
So the Plugin window appears in front of FH but will not take focus.

What happens with other Plugins, both mine and Jane's?

I don't have two monitors so cannot check what is happening.

Try deleting C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Calico Pie\Family Historian\Plugin Data\Ancestral Sources Data Entry.dat which holds window positioning sticky data.

Thanks Mike, that did the trick. The plugin window was behind the FH window.
